Secrets of the Muskeg #3

I have started the third and probably final painting in my "Secrets of the Muskeg" watercolor series. The world here in northern British Columbia is blanketed in white, and the brilliant colors of the swamp in the autumn is only a memory. Fortunately I have my reference photos to keep me on the right track.

The painting itself is in a very early stage (I am working about 5" x 12") and so I have nothing to show you as yet, just putting in my largest shapes, and the brightest leaves. I started with the brightest stuff first because it will be the most detailed. The darks will end up a little less precise, more loosely delineated. At least, that's the plan - we'll see how it looks when I am nearing completion.
